Keep the Change Without the Bank
Saving money is often thought of as a difficult task, but it may not be as difficult as you believe. Saving that change from the purchases you make every day and diligently keeping away from the change jar can be an entire family affair.
Choose a huge change jar and take guesses on how much money it can hold. Then, start throwing in the change. By the end of a year, you may have saved $10,000 or more and never thought twice about the money. To teach kids about saving, have them set up small change jars as well and make a family affair of taking it to the bank after the year is through.
