Clipping Coupons May Not Save You Money

Those coupons you spend hours clipping and organizing may not be saving you as much money as you think. The coupons that are printed in the Sunday paper are for named brand items. These items are often, or always, priced higher than a lesser known brand or even the store brand.

What many consumers don’t realize is the store brands are often created and made in the same factories as the named brand. Take milk, for instance, the store brand is nearly always bottled in the same factory that bottles the more expensive named brands, but you pay more for the name.
